Before further consideration can be given to the question of maintaining a survey party in connection with this scheme, I should be grateful for confirmation that the amount applied for is

$44,334 (£2770.17.6) only and not £5,000 as suggested in your paragraph 2.

This information is required as your present proposal will necessitate the preparation of an entirely new scheme.
